Class Descriptions
Basics (1)
For beginners and experienced students. A safe and supportive environment to establish or deepen your grasp of the yoga principles that apply to all of our other classes. |
Intermediate Flow (2)
Integrate hatha yoga postures into a vinyasa (flowing from one posture to the next) with some held postures to balance strength and freedom in body, mind and spirit. Grace, fluidity and joy grow from the inside out. The perfect transition from Basics to Power Flow. |
Wake Up (1)
Wake up, get your body charged and get to work on time. Vigorous sun salutations, asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing) to vitalize mind and body. Open to all students. |
Prenatal (1)
A gentle class focusing on aiding the adjustment of the body as the baby grows, as well as techniques to ease the strenuous process of labor. Includes yoga postures and breath work for each trimester. |
Gentle Yoga (1)
Appropriate for all students. Using softly flowing movements and deep breathwork, the postures and the internal feelings beneath them yield insight into physical and emotional constrictions, and open the possibility for release. |
Power Flow (3)
A challenging form which includes vinyasa (flowing) along with breath and bandhas (internal practices). Strengthens and balances all aspects of the physiology along with developing equanimity. Recommended for advanced students. |
Kundalini (1)
Combines active yoga postures, energy and chakra work, visualization, chanting, and breathwork. A total workout to stretch, strengthen, relax and renew. Uncover your hidden potential! Not recommended for those with extremely high or low blood pressure. |
Kid's Yoga (1)
This class is designed for boys and girls ages 6 - 11. Yoga develops children's self-esteem, concentration, flexibility and strength. |
All Levels (2)
Weekend Vinyasa class. Teachers vary, but class content is a consistent blending of Sun Salutations and intermediate level postures. |
Numbers Indicate level of class. (1) indicates good for beginners and all levels, (2) and (3) indicate degrees of advancement.
Beginners
What to know if you're new to yoga
• Wear comfortable clothing that allows a full range of body movements.
• Avoid eating two hours prior to class.
• Yoga is an internal practice so chatting during class is minimal. Feel
free to ask the instructor questions.
• For an overview of yoga before taking a class, attend our free introductory
discussion on Tuesdays at 5:30pm
or talk with an instructor.
• Yoga is non-competitive. Relax and have fun!
